Evildead_EvilBooks_Images_01

The Necronomicon is said to have been written by the Dark Ones, it’s pages are bound in human flesh and inked in human blood. The book contains prophecies, funerary incantation, and demon resurrection passages. It’s not something you really want lying around for anyone to read. The books most notable feature is the screaming face on the front. Whether this is meant as a warning to discourage people from opening the book, or if it is part of the evil that lies within is debatable. What is clear is that the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis is a powerfull and rare book that should not be treated lightly.

The book has the ability to turn the living into “Deadites”,  zombie like servants of the Evil Dead. Once Infected, only sunlight can cure them. This infection appears not to be exclusive to people, inanimate objects such as books and trees can become possessed by the evil. All though a killer book is not half a scary as your ex girlfriends decapitated body, dancing about and trying to strangle you to death. It’s most dangerous aspect, is the books capability of resurrecting ancient evil. It also thought that certain incantation could have the ability to bend space time.

The Necronomicon was discovered in an archaeology dig by Professor Knowby, who took the book to his cabin to decipher it’s pages. It was here that he unwittingly release the Evil into the woods. The Professor and his wife were never seen alive again. The books current whereabouts are unknown. According to Ash Williams , the book is either burned, or sent back in-time. His conflicting accounts of his encounter with the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis clearly the result of a troubled and disillusion mind. What is clear that is that eleven people went up that cabin, and only one returned.

As the fable goes on, it’s words and meanings become darker and more sadistic.
