Screenwriter Drew Pearce, who wrote Iron Man 3 and Pearce, and the recent Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation , has confirmed that he has completed a screenplay for a new, all-male Ghostbusters film. He also Confirmed that the Russo brothers and director Ivan Reitman are involved and that he had Channing Tatum and Chris Pratt in mind whilst writing the script.

Drew told MTV. “I’ve finished my work on that in the last couple weeks. ” Further adding “Obviously it’s top secret, but there’s a gigantic bold idea that I came up with, and the Russo brothers, who did ’Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ and are doing ’Civil War’ at the moment, and Ivan Reitman, who did the original movie, are going to take that and run with it,”. But what’s the script about, when is the film going to be made?  “Obviously I cannot tell you what it is, but hopefully in one year’s time you’ll know!”

He seems to believe that the film is going to move ahead pretty quickly, but with the 26  year gap between Ghostbusters films, we all know how things can get delayed and cancelled without a moments notice.
