Saw: Legacy Handed R Rating

by | Mar 9, 2017

For those of you hoping to take the your kids to the next Saw film, I have some bad news.

October 27th will see the return of the franchise after a seven year gap, with with brand new installment Saw: Legacy hitting theaters with a nice big red R rating. The new chapter in the long-running saga has been handed an R for “Grisly Bloody Violence and Torture.”. No news from the BBFC, but im sure they will follow suit with a very english 18.

Whilst the saw franchise is returning, neither Costas Mandylor nor Cary Elwes will be returning, both who ended up becoming Jigsaw apprentices by the end of the seventh film. The new cast includes Mandela Van Peebles, Laura Vandervoort, Brittany Allen, Callum Keith Rennie,  Josiah Black, Matt Passmore, Shaquan Lewis, Hannah Emily Anderson,  Michael Bolsvert and James Gomez

Bodies are turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one man: John Kramer. But how can this be? The man known as Jigsaw has been dead for over a decade. Or has an apprentice picked up the mantle of Jigsaw, perhaps even someone inside the investigation?

The new film will be out for Halloween this year. Yippie!!!
