The Shining: References & Homages
Probably one of the most iconic moments in horror occurs in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining, when Jack Nicholson presses his face up against the broken and splintered panels of the overlook hotel door. His “here’s johnny” scene has been referenced and parodied more often than any other scene in the genre. Jarvis City has taken as many references as they can and place them into a super cut video, resulting in an 18 minute video of parodies.
Since its release in 1980, Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of Stephen King’s classic novel has has been parodied and referenced endless times on television and in feature length films. Check out this nice little compilation…
