7 Things You (Probably) Didn’t Know About the Lost Boys

by | Jul 25, 2017

The 80s cult classic The Lost Boys is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary at the end of the month, being released on 31th July 1987. To Celebrate this epic feat, YoutUbe Channel CineFx have compiled a list of 7 surprise facts about the film which are really awesome.

Teenage brothers Michael (Jason Patric) and Sam (Corey Haim) move with their mother (Dianne Wiest) to a small town in northern California. While the younger Sam meets a pair of kindred spirits in geeky comic-book nerds Edward (Corey Feldman) and Alan (Jamison Newlander), the angst-ridden Michael soon falls for Star (Jami Gertz) — who turns out to be in thrall to David (Kiefer Sutherland), leader of a local gang of vampires. Sam and his new friends must save Michael and Star from the undead.

Director Joel Schumacher (yep that guy that gave batman nipples) brought the vampire hit to life with a great cast including Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Dianne Wiest and Kiefer Sutherland, making a classic 80’s romp about biker vampires terrorising the town of Santa Carla. The video below explores the location, makeup and even an earlier version of the film, which gives the flick its name. Enjoy…
