Chilling New Trailer for Hulu’s ‘Castle Rock’
Set to head into the crazy world of Stephen King, Hulu’s J.J. Abrams-produced ‘Castle Rock’ drops another trailer ahead of it’s July 25th premier. the series will air with the shows first three episodes before dropping into a weekly format.
The show is based around ‘Castle Rock’, a fictional town in King’s native Maine that is featured quite prominently in a number of his novels. Castle Rock first appeared in King’s 1979 novel ‘The Dead Zone’, and with many examples there after. The short story ‘The Body’ was turned into a feature film called ‘Stand By Me’, which was set in Castle Rock and went on to huge success. Director Rob Reiner even named his own company after the fictional town, thanks to his films accomplishment at the box office. With the town being such a huge part of the Stephen King multiverse, it seems like the perfect place to feature a show filled with King characters and story lines.
From Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television, “Castle Rock” will combine Kings best loved work with an epic saga that will tell an original story. All played out within the confines of Kings fictional town.
The cast includes Bill Skarsgård, Sissy Spacek, Allison Tolman, Scott Glenn, André Holland, Terry O’Quinn and Jane Levy.
