Kevin Bacon Responds to Death of Tremors Co-Star Fred Ward

Born in San Diego, Ward joined the air force before deciding to become an actor, in which he found fame in the 1979 film Escape from Alcatraz, as bank robber John Anglin. He also gained notoriety as a Vietnam vet in Uncommon Valor, and in The Right Stuff as impaired astronaut Gus Grissom. For Horror fans, he will always be remembered for his roles in Tremors and Tremors 2, where he played hired hand Earl Bassett.
Fred Ward passed away on May 8th 2022, at age 79.
