New Footage from Screams ‘Ghostface is Back Featurette’

by | Nov 4, 2021

The Scream franchise is set to returns to theaters next January, with a return from the surviving original cast. The new film will be setting Ghostface against a fresh-faced bunch of slaughter meat, who call upon Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), Dewey Riley (David Arquette) and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) to help fight back against the masked killer. Directing duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett, as well as executive producer Chad Villella, helm the latest outing and we have a little taste of things to come with this featurette that looks briefly behind the scenes of the new film.

The video shows off new footage and even delves deeper into the films plot as we witness the start of a new slasher revival. All hail the Ghostface killer… here’s a little taste of the mayhem to come.

The films new cast includes Dylan Minnette, who seems to be Ghostface’s new target. As she describes in the video

“Sam becomes the target of the Ghostface killer, and she seeks Dewey for help!”

It looks like her and Dylan Minnette, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Kyle Gallner and Mikey Madison, will all pointing their fingers at each other, whilst they try to discover who the killer is. My bet is on Dewey Riley, as it’s about time he came out as the master mind behind the master mind of the entire franchise plot. Yes Dewey encouraged Roman Bridger to kill Maureen Prescott and we all know it!

The new film hits cinemas January 14th 2022.
