‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It’ Official Third Film Name

by | Dec 9, 2019

Good news day for us horror fans as New Line Cinema announced that the next chapter in The Conjuring series will be called  The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. To date there are six films in the Conjuring universe with the last part being a spin off called, The Curse of La Llorona, which hit screens in march of this year. The official third Conjuring film will borrow The Curse’s director Michael Chaves who will be directing series regulars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The Devil Made Me Do It reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga). One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.

The seventh installment will increase the already huge $1.8 billion worldwide gross the films have made, making The Conjuring one of the most financially successful series in horror. Other films in the series include two Conjuring films, three Annabelle films, the Nun and The Curse of La Llorona. The new film will be terrifying audiences on September 11th, 2020. Spooky stuff…
