Zombieland 2 Could be Coming Next Year!

If fells like forever since Zombieland exploded onto our screens back in 2009. The plucky comedy horror took the world by storm  and yet left us with little in the form of a sequel. Amazon made a pilot episode for a failed TV series (and boy did it stink) yet a silver screen follow up has never materialised. Ever so often rumours pop up that it’s happen soon, and then quickly pass like a fart in the wind. But the latest rumours come with a bit more authority, as Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the original writers, assure fans that it is happening, and it could be sooner rather than later. 

The duo writing team are just celebrating another big hot of them, with Deadpool 2 heading for cinemas this weekend. Reese and Wernick penned the original Deadpool and with it’s sequel looking to make a mint, the writers are sure to get some big projecst rolling their way. One of these will Zombieland 2.

Wernick told Vulture Magazine …

“We’re going on the tenth anniversary of Zombieland. Zombieland came out October of 2009. We don’t know what you get someone for their tenth anniversary, but it may be a Zombieland 2”

Ok..ok so it’s still a maybe, but Wernick would not tease unless he had something up his filthy sleeve. 

Zombieland intelligent comedy, quirky romance, and bloody zombie action was for sure a real red letter moment in horror, and we can’t wait for more.
