Since the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles debuted in 1984, the ninja turtles have battled their fair share of vicious villains. But throughout the history of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the TMNT have found themselves facing a very familiar foe: Oroku Saki, the Shredder. Ninja Turtles history is filled with furious battles against Shredder, from the TMNT comics, TMNT movies to the TMNT 1987, TMNT 2003, and TMNT 2012 series.
From his murderous appearance in the gory original comics to the 1990 TMNT movie, Shredder has always been one step ahead of Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael. From the TMNT clip, TMNT trailer and TMNT scene we’ve seen so far, it doesn’t look like Shredder will be appearing in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but whether it’s the new Ninja Turtles cartoon or the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, no matter what the turtles look like, the Shredder won’t be far behind.
