First Look at Winona Ryder’s Return as Lydia Deetz

Despite the writter srtike, it seems that Beetlejuice 2 is going ahead with principle photography, as we get our very first look at Winona Ryder’s return as Lydia Deetz. The star was spotted in full makeup and cotume as she headed to set for thye upcomign sequel to Tim Burton’s classic black comedy.

As reported recently, the new film has been a long time in the making, with various scripts being written and dropped over the years since the first film hit screens in 1988. Lydia was Ryder’s breakout role and it’s great that she’ll be returning for new film in Sept 2024. She’ll be re-uniting with Micheal Keaton, actress Catherine O’Hara (Delia Deetz) and director Tim Burton


 The new film will see a few new faces too, such as Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter and Monica Bellucci as Beetlejuices wife, who he mentions breifly in the first film. Justin Theroux and Willem Dafoe have also been announced in undisclosed roles.
