New Look at Rob Zombie’s ‘The Munsters’

Last week Rob Zombie dropped a brief teaser trailer for his upcoming reboot of The Munsters, which featured Herman, Lily and Grandpa. Pushing forward with his personal marketing campaign, the director took to Instagram this week to drop some new images from the movie.
The new movie will feature Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, a Frankenstein like character who is just trying to fit into society with his family. The film also features Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster ( Sheri being Rob Zombies wife and who also features in ever one of his films) and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster.
The original TV series was an American sitcom depicting the home life of a family of benign monsters. It was a satire of American suburban life, as well as both traditional monster movies and the wholesome family fare of the 1960’s. It aired on TV between 1964 and 1966 and even had several feature films. Anyone born in the 80’s may better remember the colour revival titled The Munsters Today which ran from 1988 to 1991.
