Is there any plans for more Mad Max?
With Mad Max : Fury Road now out on Blu-Ray and DVD, the big question is when will we see more? According to creator and director George Miller, during an interview for BBC’s Top Gear online, maybe in a couple of years.
After a huge shoot for Fury Road, the director is looking to slow the pace down, before jumping back on to another Max film.
“I want to do a small film without special effects before I do any of that, just to do it quickly,” he said. “We shot Fury Road for eight months… that’s a lot. Every day in the heat and the dust, doing these stunts, it’s very wearing. We’ve got two more planned, but at some point in the future.”
In fact, they currently have two scripts ready, but are unsure which to shoot first.
“So we ended up with two scripts, without really trying,” he added. “We’re talking to the studio [Warner Bros] about it as we speak, but which one of the two stories will happen next, I’m not so sure.”
So there you have it, two more films in the future, but no firm dates as yet. In the meantime, you can pick up a copy of Mad Max : Fury Road and binge on all the glories behind the scenes footage and extras.
